The provisions of the NYC Building Codes shall apply to the construction, alteration, movement, addition, replacement, repair, equipment, use and occupancy, location, maintenance, removal and demolition of every building or structure or any appurtenances connected or attached to such buildings or structures.

Obtain written determinations for applicants to submit to the Department of Buildings for New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC) exemptions. In addition, for LPC designated buildings, our Preservation department can incorporate an exemption for qualified buildings into an LPC permit.
